INTEGRATED SEAMLESSLY INTO THE VEHICLE
The Harmony Speaker and Harmony Projector empowers users to enjoy spontaneous outdoor relaxation and entertainment anytime, anywhere.
When not in use, these devices stow neatly inside the vehicle. While stowed, the Harmony Speaker also serves as two channels within the interior 7:1 sound system.
AUTOMATICALLY ADAPTS TO YOU
The speaker and projector module senses its surroundings, automatically adjusting to provide the ideal viewing and listening experience.
PROJECT BRIEF
Sanctuary Evolved:
Creating outstanding experiences in support of wellness, entertainment and personal fulfillment.
Objectives:
Design unique physical and/or digital experiences that expand on the concept of Sanctuary. These could range from tangible ideas of how to improve the products themselves to the creation of new, future-focused, multisensory experiences that enhance the journey.
Proposals can leverage emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence to develop rich experiences that enhance physical spaces, including experiences with groups, family/friends, and pets.
DESIGN PROCESS
We held three brainstorming sessions to explore how Lucid’s Sanctuary could expand into smart home products, furniture, and lighting. Inspired by Lucid’s American heritage, we focused on a headlight projection concept, reimagining the nostalgic drive-in movie experience for a modern audience.
INITIAL SKETCHES
The initial sketches focused purely on functionality, allowing the speaker and projector to fit neatly into the vehicle. After feedback from the client and their interest for a design that was more sculptural, we went back to the drawing board for more sketch exploration
FURTHER SKETCH EXPLORATION
Explored more abstract and sculptural design for the speaker but nothing feels right….
INSPIRED BY NATURE
Drawing inspiration from Lucid and their design language, we combined cues from nature and aircraft design to create the perfect balance of simplicity and refinement. Our design direction was inspired by pebbles stacked in perfect harmony, envisioning the speaker and projector as seamless extensions of their environment. With forms that blend effortlessly into nature and complement the user, these designs embody harmony and balance in every detail
The CMF (Color, Material, Finish) draws inspiration from California’s breathtaking natural landscapes, particularly Yosemite’s Glacier Point at sunset. This design approach balances warm and cool tones, evoking the serene yet dynamic interplay of light and shadow at twilight. Just as the form reflects the harmony and elegance of nature, the CMF enhances this connection by creating a visually stunning and tactile experience that resonates with the beauty of the natural world
